Rabbi Eliezer Zev Rosenbaum hy”d (1880-1944) was the Second Admor of Kretchnif. Born to his father, Rabbi Meir of Kretchnif, he was named after his grandfather Rabbi Eliezer Zev of Botatsch. Rabbi Eliezer Zev married the daughter of Rabbi Nissan Chaim Langnauer, Av Beit Din Nadvorna. Following his marriage Rabbi Eliezer Zev moved Nadvorna living close to his in-laws.

He assumed the reigns of Kretchnif leadership following his father’s passing. During the Holocaust, Rabbi Eliezer Zev was deported to Auschwitz from Sighet along with his townspeople, where he tragically perished.

On the train to Auschwitz, Rabbi Eliezer Zev appointed his grandson, Rabbi David Moshe to assume the mantle of leadership. His sons eventually became the Admorim of Kretchnif in Chadera, Kiryat Gat and Bnei Brak.
