Avkat Rochel With Signatures and Stamps of Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman of Sadigur.
Avkat Rochel contains many novellae and esoteric topics; matters pertaining to the End of Days, the wars of the era of Mashiach, The World to Come and the Resurrection of the Dead. Authored by Rabbi Mechir son of Yitzchak Sar Chesed (Disciple of Rabbi Yehudah son of The Rosh).

Rabbi Mechir son of Rabbi Yitzchak son of Sar Chesed was a leading Spanish sage during the time of Rabbein Nissim.

The Avkat Rochel edition printed in Lvov, 1792 was attributed in error to Rabbeinu Mechir teacher of Rashi. Rabbi Avraham Turteil, in his Kabbalah book clarifies that the author was in fact Rabbi Mechir son of Rabbi Yitzchak.

In his preface the author explains the choice of title, ‘The Rochel Powder’. Just as the Rochel is a powder with a strong odor that gives strength to the soul, so too, this book in intended to uplift and strengthen the person.

Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman (1844-1883) was a leading Torah luminary, outstanding in his Torah and Chassidut.
