Letter from Rabbi Chaim Moses, rabbi of Kleinwardein.
A letter from Rabbi Moshe [Moses] Chaim Litsch Rosenbaum, Rabbi of Kleinwardein to Rabbi Fischel Sofer of Budapest. 1936.
[1] official paper. 21x24 cm. His handwriting and signature. The letter deals with the custom of saying E-l Maleh Rachamim, and whether to mention the surname.
Rabbi Moshe [Moses] Chaim Litsch Rosenbaum (1864-1943) was the rabbi of Simleu, and from the year 1894 served as the rabbi of Kleinwardein, and is known by its name. Among his books are Lechem Rav, Leviyat Chen and others. His character and actions are described in the book The Tzadik of Kleinwardein.
Rabbi Fischel Sofer was the rabbi of the Yere'im congregation of Budapest.
The letter is cut off at the bottom. A small hole at the side. Moderate condition.
