Letter from Rabbi Avraham Dovber Kahana Shapira, Rabbi of Kovno [1930].
[1] leaf. 13x22, letterhead. All in the hand and with the signature of Rabbi Avraham Dovber Kahana Shapira (1870-1943), Rabbi of Kovno, author of Shu"t Dvar Avraham. He was a leading posek in Eastern Europe.
The letter was sent to the members of the Chief Rabbinate of Tel Aviv and relates to a get that was sent to Kovno by a messenger for a woman in Kovno. Since the messenger had died, Rabbi Avraham Dovber Kahana suggests appointing Moshe ben Yehuda Yaffe, the shamash in the Kovno beit din, as messenger.
The leaf is cut on all sides. One filing hole, not affecting text. Fold marks. Very fine condition.
