Exceptionally beautiful copy of ‘Order of Prayers According to the Sephardi Community Customs’ for Weekdays and Shabbat.
The Prayer Book was thoroughly proofread and edited seven times by Shmuel Rodriguez Mendez.
On Leaf 151 appears a special prayer in honor of those who were burned at stake by the Inquisition. Includes a prayer in memory of the Leaders of the Portuguese Community of Amsterdam, martyred by the Inquisition.
The Prayer Book includes a 216-year calendar at the end, with a separate title page, foreword and instructions in Spanish.
