Rabbi Yiztchal Reich (died in 1896), the president of the Jewish Orthodox Bureau in Hungary, a legendary lobbyist with many achievements for the Hungarian Jewry.
In "Olamo shel Abba" by Rabbi Miler it is recalled:
Was a God-fearing Jew and although he was "Ashkenazic", he behaved as a Hassid, wearing a shtreimel, black capote and white socks. However, when he visited governmental offices or met with ministers, he dressed as a diplomat: tailcoat, top hat and white gloves. He had a private Beit Midrash in his house and before meeting with a minister, he used to pray Mincha in his Beit Midrash, shedding tears in his prayer for his success with the government on Jewish matters.
