Sermons to strengthen Torah and faith, with halachic responsa, by Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtel, rabbi of Piestany. With Siach Yitzchak by Rabbi Yitzchak Weiss, rabbi of Verba. Brodyov, 1926.

Notation on the title page that the book was received as a gift from the author.

Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal [1885-1945] was a disciple of the Arugat HaBosem and of the author of Minchat Elazar of Munkacs. He served as the Rosh Av Beit Din and rosh yeshivah of the Moriah yeshivah in Piestany in the Nitra district in western Slovakia, and was known for his book of responsa, Mishneh Sachir. When the Holocasut broke out, he dealt with the issue of exile, redemption, and the Land of Israel. He was an enthusiastic supporter of aliyah to the Land of Israel. The author was killed towards the end of the Holocaust, on 13 Shevat, 1945, may his blood be avenged. He managed to print the following books in his lifetime: Two parts of Shu"t Mishneh Sachir [Part I - 1924, Part II 1941], Tov Yigal, [1926] - sermons on faith and responsa, and Em HaBanim Smechah [1944]. After the Holocaust, his son Rabbi Chaim Menachem Teichtal z"l published another three parts of Shu"t Mishneh Sachir [in order of the Shulchan Aruch], and a journal he wrote during the Holocaust, called Emunah Tzerufah B'Kur HaShoah.
