Sefer Knesset HaGedolah on Choshen Mishpat, by Rabbi Chaim Benvenisti. Second edition, Furth 1692. 196 leaves. Leaf 192 is bound out of place. Catalogued by the NLI as rare.
No binding, widespread tape on the title page and the five last leaves (hiding text), tears mainly in the first and last leaves, worming holes and damage, stains, most of the book itself is in good condition but overall fair condition.
The body of the work and the title page have signatures in Mizrahi handwriting, testifying that the book most likely belonged to Rabbi Yosef Charush ben Rabbi Yitzhak, a sage of Marrakesh, Morocco. He died on Isru Chag of Sukkot 1817 and Rabbi Refael Masoud ben Mocha gave his eulogy—printed in his book Parpara’ot L’Chochma.
The body of the work has a number of glosses and notes in the margins.
