In front of us is a book from the library of the Rabbi Yaakov David Vilovsky, rabbi of Slutsk. After that he immigrated to Israel and served as head of a yeshiva in Safed.

He was one of the biggest opponents of the sale permit, published essays on the matter and even traveled to Baron Rothschild to meet with him on this issue.
