In the book She'erit Yisrael, information about Jewish life in India, and the story of the discovery of America.
The book was printed by R. Chaim Madfis, the well-known printer from Fyorda, and included two books under the name Yosifun
The first part, the Book of Yosifun, the well-known book by Josephus Flavius. The second part is the book of Rabbi Menachem son of Rabbi Shlomo Halevi of Amsterdam, a student of Rabbi Moshe Farnefort, the Dayan of Amsterdam. This book is called 'Yosifun Part Two'.
In this book 'She'erit Yisrael', the author reviews the history of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple, in the book there is news about the life of the Jews in all the diasporas, including the life of the Jews of India, and the story of the discovery of America.
The pages of the book are decorated with wood carvings.

הספר נדפס, ע"י ר' חיים מדפיס, המדפיס הנודע מפיורדא ונכללו בו שני ספרים תחת השם יוסיפון
החלק הראשון, ספר יוסיפון, הספר הידוע מאת יוסיפוס. החלק שני הוא ספרו של רבי מנחם מן ב"ר שלמה הלוי מאמשטרדם, תלמידו של ר' משה פרנפורט, הדיין מאשטרדם. אשר ספר זה נקרא 'יוסיפון חלק שני'.
בספר זה 'שארית ישראל' סוקר המחבר את תולדות היהודים לאחר חורבן בית שני, בספר מובאים ידיעות על חיי היהודים בכל התפוצות, כולל מחיי יהודי הודו, וסיפור גילוי אמריקה.
