Rabbi Shmuel Yitzchak Hillman [1868-1953] was the chief rabbi of Glasgow and Av Beit Din of London. He was ordained to the rabbinate by the author of Ohr Somayach. He ascended to the Land of Israel and founded the Ohel Torah yeshivah, which served as a kollel for renowned married scholars. Its members included: Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv and Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Wosner. He authored the Ohr HaYashar series of books. His son-in-law was the chief rabbi of Israel, Yitzchak Isaac HaLevi Herzog.
