Shu"t Naot Yaakov by Rabbi Yaakov Kahane Shapira, Vilna 1912. Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin's stamp is on the title page, from the period in which he served as Av Beit Din and lecturer in Pietrkov.
Bookplate in the inner lining: "Gift of the Jewish books in Poland which were saved from destruction during the years of annihilation 1940-1945."
The gaon Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin - [1887-1934] was the president of Agudat Yisrael in Poland, rosh yeshivah of Chachmei Lublin and originator of the Daf Yomi study program. The gaon was appointed as rabbi of Pietrkov in 1924. He published his well-known book, Shu"t Ohr HaMeir which includes halachic correspondence between him and the gaons of the generation including the Chafetz Chaim, Rabbi Meir Arik, the Admor of Ostrovtza and more.
