Bibliographic Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Zekkel Bamberger, Av Beit Din of Bad-Kissingen, to one of the Author's of his Generation
Lengthy letter [2 pages] handwritten by the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zekkel HaLevi Bamberger, av beit din of Bad-Kissengen, to one of the authors of his generation. Bad-Kissingen, Thursday of the parashah of the Nesi'im, 1923.
The addressee's name does not appear in the letter, but it can be gleaned from the content that he wrote a sefer on Tractate Avot and Rabbi Bamberger assisted him in obtaining rare works on Pirkei Avot [the names of these sefarim appear in the letter]. The letter also mentions Sefer Sha'arei Simchah which was about to be published - by the gaon Rabbi Simchah Bamberger, av beit din of Aschaffenburg - the sender's father.
