[4], 21, 19-33, 24 cm. Two different title pages. The author reveals incredible knowledge of traditional sources. This book features valuable material regarding Rabbi Yaakov Emden’s stance vis-à-vis the Zohar; the words of the Chacham Tzvi; and the battle against the Sabbatean movement. Opening remarks by Rabbi Yaakov of Lissa, the author’s teacher. There are variant copies noted bibliographically, with variant title pages and number of pages. Refer to: G. Karsel, “Ma’amar Odot Kitvei HaMichaber R’ Elyakim”, Kiryat Sefer, volume 17, pgs. 87-89. Refer to his entry in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and Beit Eked Sefarim. This copy has two different title pages! The errata have been bound at the beginning of the book. Rare book, particularly with two title pages. Simple binding. Light aging stains on a few pages. Very fine condition.
