Non-Traditional Haggadah - HaNoar HaLomed B'Eretz Yisrael - Immigrant Camps 1949
Non-traditional haggadah - stencil print with illustrations. With reference to the events of 1949 and those preceding it.
Alongside non-traditional texts there is a "Yizkor" text referring especially to the casualties of the conquering of the Land: 'We will remember our colleagues, sons of the Hebrew nation who fell defending the homeland ... From Kfar Szold in the Galilee to Yad Mordechai in the Negev we won't leave a footprint in the village with pure and dear blood. The lumps of earth in our Land are saturated with this blood and have absorbed it ...' There is a passage which opens with the words 'See our corpses lying there': Death is perceived by our eyes, we can't breathe, our blood splatters on the paths of each step. We have done all we can, until the last one fell and did not arise ...'
There is also text which refers to war in the Hebrew settlement: 'The war declared on us comes along with our venture, as a result of our immigration, there is something of a war in the Land ... war has stalked us all these years, now it has been released in all its cruelty ... we must win this war. We will have no resurrection without victory. As long as victory has not been achieved, there will be no end to the battle ...', the song Chad Gadya is abbreviated and changed, and more.
