Non-Traditional Haggadah - Holiday Committee of Kibbutz HaArtzi [1944] with the Rare Leaf

Non-traditional haggadah piblished by the Holiday Committee of Kibbutz HaArtzi 1944. Many texts referring to the Holocaust of European Jewry. Including the rare leaf attached by HaShomer HaTzair kibbutz Beit Alfa under the title 'Supplement to the Passover Haggadah - 1944.' Stencil print with illustrations.

In these words the writer of the haggadah describes the extent of the tragedy of European Jewry: 'And his hand was outstretched on all the remnant of humanity, to establishe the yoke of bondage on people and man a the dispersions of Israel to destroy them from a people as never before throughout the generations. And again the lamb of Israel is dispersed along the killing fields wandering between the borders humiliated in the ghettos, trampled by a tyrant's boot.

Later on there is a harsh text about the children who went like lambs to the slaughter opening with the words 'With the wailing of our children in the shadow of the gallows': We did not hear the world's outrage ... because you chose us from all the peoples - the Norse, the Czech, the British, the footsteps of our children to the gallows, Jewish children, wise children, they know how their blood is not considered blood ... You chose us from among all children to be killed before Your holy throne ... And now you will demand us from the murderers and those who were silent together.'
