"Shivit Hashem L'Negdi Tamid" Huge Silver Plaque for a Synagogue. Vienna, 1873


Magnificent stamped silver plaque for a synagogue "L'Shabbat Kodesh V'Yom Tov."

Thin rectangular plaque made of hammered silver, stamped and etched in gilt. The top part is a "Shiviti Hashem L'Negdi Tamid" relief inside a convex circle. On top of that is a stunning seven-branched menorah standing on three smooth steps.

Etched dedication on the steps: "Gift from Rabbi Eliezer Leizer Mendelson, for this synagogue ... 1873."


The entire face is covered with floral decorations and stunning geometric forms.
