Emotional Letter from the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz to his Dear Friend on the Occasion of his Oldest Son's Wedding


"May Hashem grant that we hear only good from him always"


Emotional letter handwritten and signed by the rosh yeshivah of Mir, the renowned gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz. Sent to his dear friend, the gaon Rabbi E. Sorotzkin of the United States. Jerusalem, parashat VaYerah, 1961.


The letter was sent to the gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz's dear friend, the gaon Rabbi E. Sorotzkin, son of the ga'ava"d of Lutzk, the gaon Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin. The letter was written upon the marriage of Rabbi Shmuelevitz's firstborn son and successor, the gaon Rabbi Raphael Shmuelevitz, rosh yeshivah of Mir. The letter mentions several mutual friends, some named and others only hinted at, such as "regards to our friend in his camp."
