Sefer Ari Nohem: Sefeikot V'Rivot al Toladot Sefer HaZohar im Vikuach Negged Ba'alei HaKabbalah by Rabbi Yehudah Aryeh of Modena, rabbi of Venice, Ferrara and Florence. Leipzig, 1840. First edition. With the introduction by "Ploni Almoni" not found in all copies, and a rare additional jacket cover.


Rabbi Yehudah Aryeh of Modena's controversial work contains harsh claims against the antiquity of Sefer HaZohar and disputes fundamental basics of Kabbalistic doctrine with a lengthy introduction by Julius Fuerst.

97, XXXII pp, 18 cm. A German-language jacket cover was added, and the internal edge lists printed sefarim. The jacket cover is not listed in Mif'al HaBibliographiah, and is not found on the copies in the National Library.

Fine condition. Signatures. Minimal aging stains. Ink stain on the margin  of one of the title pages and the following leaf. Elegant edition with the original marbleized paper binding, with a blemish in the margins of the spine.
