"Irin Kadishin." Warsaw, 1885. First edition with the rare leaf with an approbation from the holy brothers from Sadigura

Irin Kaddishin. Compilation on the Torah [also for the holidays and various events] by Marana V'Rabbana Yisrael [Friedman] of Ruzhin and his son, Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura. Warsaw, 1885. First edition. Second title page in gold ink. With the rare leaf.

Rare copy. Following the title page, there is an added printed leaf on thin paper - entirely different than the other pages of the book. The leaf states that the book was seen by the holy brothers Rabbi Yitzchak (later of Boyan) and Rabbi Yisrael of Sadigura and they lovingly took the book and said with the other repeating "Mekudash Mekudash." This leaf was undoubtedly added after the book was printed and is unknown from any the copy.

Two title pages. The last page features an illustration of Korach's firepan. Includes a homily from Rabbi Avraham, the author's brother. Ends with a few compilations from various chassidic personalities.

The author founded the Ruzhin dynasty and was the great-grandson of Rabbi Dov b"r Avrahm of Mezeritch, prominent disciple of the Baal Shem Tov.
