The Haggada is interspersed with many texts describing the hard-pressed, tense situation in Europe on the eve of the Holocaust, and the tension that reigned in Palestine at the time.

The original "Mah Nishtana" text is followed by: "Mah Nishtana - what is different about the situation of the Jewish Nation in the world? Have they  been relieved of their terrible troubles?....No and no...their situation has not become better, their suffering has not diminished, and the cruel hand has not left them...nothing has been changed for the better. The opposite is true. There are countries in which in previous years the Jews lived securely..but recently the enemies have risen and try with all their power to harm us, to slander us and influence governments to deprive us of our rights and to oppress us. The pressure on the Jews is great in most countries of the world...these are difficult days for the entire Jewish Nation, and also for us here in Palestine, because the government of evil has gotten stronger, and anyone who is not strong or violent has it very bad..."  

We have not succeeded in clarifying which kibbutz published this haggada. However, it was apparently published by a kibbutz of Romanian or Galician immigrants of the Shomer HaTzair around 1936-7. Page 5 features the passsage: "step after step...we are conquering and building our future. Our heart has not stopped and our hands have not weakened. Another piece of land in Eretz Yisrael, another thousands of Jews, and another point and point. Here is "Tel Amal" and here is "haSadeh" "Masada" "Ein HaKoreh," each point is projector..." These kibbutzim were established by Romanian or Galician immigrants in 1936-1937 by the Shomer HaTzair.
