Amud HaAvodah by the Kossover Rebbe. Chernowitz, 1954. First Edition

Sefer Amud HaAvodah - elucidations on Kabblistic doctrine in the Chassidic way, by the Rebbe Rabbi Baruch of Kossov, one of the patriarchs of Chassidism and a disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch. Chernowitz, 1854. First edition.

First edition of the rare Chassidic work from the first generation of Chassidism. This book is adorned by the approbations of the author's contemporaries, the Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Premishlan, disciple of the Ba'al Shem Tov, and the Rebbe Rabbi Moshe of Sambor.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Premishlan, disciple of the Ba'al Shem Tov, wrote in his approbation to the book: "He was together with me for several days and related several ideas about Kitvei HeAr"i, explaining the topics well, stripped of materialism. They entered my heart and are very sweet to me ... I believe that they are the primary principles of the Torah and the basis of faith to give honor to Hashem ..."

Owner's stamps of Menachem Mendel Babad of Gura-Humora, a disciple of Rabbi A. Sh. Halperin, who mentioned him in his book Shu"t Maharo"sh - from the family of Vizhnitz Admo"rim, rabbi of Gura-Humora.
