Complete Kuntress Loaded with Wondrous Kabbalistic Blessings Handwritten by the 'Kaf HaChaim' Himself

"Wondrous herb that revives the dead, wondrous ash that overturns ruins, precious gems and pearls, wondrous miracles, wondrous blessings and Kabbalistic Names" and much more, handwritten by the 'Kaf HaChaim' himself!

Complete and perfect compilation from beginning to end, including pagination, from א onward, including the titles at the tops of the pages. All handwritten by Rabbi Ya'akov Chaim Sofer, author of Kaf HaChaim, one of the rabbinic leaders and Kabbalists of the Orient. [Baghdad, late 19th century.]

This manuscript is the first edition of the autograph of the book Yismach Yisrael - the book by the author of Kaf HaChaim on the weekly Torah portions. A close look at the manuscript reveals that in at least the first edition of the manuscript, the Kaf HaChaim wrote his novellae on each one of the Torah portions as a separate compilation in its own right (with independent pagination, etc.) apparently for his famous Shabbat sermons in Baghdad. This is the complete kuntress entirely on the Torah portion Shoftim.

Unusually, there are verses of blessing, wondrous midrashim, rare blessings and more in this kuntress. A representative sample follows, from the compilation that is comprised of hundreds of lines and thousands of words: "I defamed this city to save it"; "he merited a miracle and was saved"; "wondrous herb that revives the dead"; "wondrous ash that becomes arrows and swords"; "so that miracles will be done for you"; "they go out to war - and emerge victorious"; "so that you shall live in this world"; the sacred Name "אבגית"ץ"; "annuls the decree of death from him and his children" and much, much more.

Alongside the historic value of this manuscript as an autograph of the book and a manuscript by one of the unique poskim and Kabbalists of the Orient, the segulah value of this manuscript is inestimable. It is known that manuscripts by rabbinic leaders of all communities and circles were used - and are still used - among the entire Jewish people as tried-and-true amulets for protection and success, especially when the manuscript's content deals with the issue for which the amulet is designated: Protection, healing, livelihood, etc. This manuscript deals with wondrous miracles and is full of verses and words of blessing and wealth, and its segulah value is very great. There is exceptional importance to this manuscript, as it discusses parashat Shoftim and most of it deals with verses and topics related to dayanim and judges and warnings for dayanim to not show favor or warp the law, hence it is a huge segulah to emerge victorious at court for whoever unfortunately finds himself facing a difficult trial!

In the introduction to the book Yismach Yisrael, the author's grandsons write about two editions of the manuscript that the Kaf HaChaim wrote, and the miraculous progression of the manuscript that disappeared for many years and then returned to them in a miraculous manner. This is the first edition of the manuscript, almost completely identical to what was posthumously printed in his book, with the exception of slight changes. This reveals to us that this here is the first edition of the manuscript.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Ya'akov Chaim Sofer.
