The Height of Segulahs: Sermon by the Ben Ish Chai about Lechem HaPanim - the Symbol of Wealth

"Rabbi Yitzchak said: One who wants to become wealthy should turn north ... and the sign for this is that the shulchan was in the north ..."

Complete Kabbalistic sermon from beginning to end, with rare segulah content. Entirely handwritten by the leading rabbi and Kabbalist of Bavel (Iraq), Rabbeinu Yosef Chaim of Baghdad, author of Ben Ish Chai. [Baghdad], undated. Aside from the historic, Torah and economic value of a manuscript by the leading rabbi and Kabbalist of the Orient in recent generations - this is a real amulet handwritten by the Ben Ish Chai!

This sermon deals with the arrangement of lechem hapanim placed on the golden shulchan in the Beit HaMikdash. As is known, the golden table symbolizes the influence of abundance in this world. The Zohar states (Lech Lecha 267): "Come and see, the Lechem HaPanim table radiates blessing and sustenance to the world." There is also a well-known saying by Chaza"l"Rabbi Yitzchak said: One who wants to become wealthy should turn north ... and the sign for this is that the shulchan was in the north ..." Rabbi Yitzchak clearly determines that to this day, if one faces north during the shemoneh esreh prayer - the historic location of the shulchan lechem hapanim - this is a segulah for wealth.

It is known that writings by the Ben Ish Chai are used by natives of Bavel/Iraq in particular and Edot HaMizrach in general, as tried-and-true amulets for protection, finding favor and success. This is true for all manuscripts by the Ben Ish Chai, not only those that contain special blessings. How much more so this rare manuscript here, that aside from ending with the famous blessing by the Ben Ish Chai, "May E-l Shad-ai help us, protect us and help us, amen, may it be His Will, " it also deals, as mentioned, with the Kabbalistic topic most capable of bringing wealth: Lechem HaPanim on the golden shulchan - the symbol of wealth and abundance!

Aside from the unique segulah topic here, like no other, for wealth, and aside from the the Torah verses that deal with this segulah topic cited by the Ben Ish Chai "you shall put them in two stacks, six in each stack, on the pure table before Hashem, " the Ben Ish Chai refers in this manuscript to upper words, such as Olam HaAtzilut and Kabbalistic Names [such as "שם ב"ן" ו"שם מ"ה"] terms used by Kabbalists when writing amulets, and they give these amulets their spiritual powers. As such, this here is actually a real amulet with sacred Kabbalistic Names handwritten by the Ben Ish Chai himself!
