Sha'ar HaShamayim - beautiful commentary on the siddur authored by Rabbi Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz, author of Shnei Luchot HaBrit, per the custom in Poland, Reisin, Lithuania, Pihem and Merherin. Amsterdam, 1742. Rabbinic signatures from the time of printing. Part I.

Siddur per the Polish custom, including prayers for weekdays, Shabbat and more, with the Shla"h's commentary and Kabblistic intentions, as well as many of the Shla"h's customs and mussar topics. Accompanied by supplements according to what was written by the Shla"h in his will.

Second edition of the important Kabbalistic siddur authored by the Shla"h.

This edition was printed for the first time in a small format (the first edition was printed in a large format), so that this edition is also called Siddur Shla"h HaKattan-Mahadurah Rishonah. Page 28b [of the first pagination] bears a picture of the Menorah composed of the words of Psalm 68, LaMenatzeach.

The Shla"h HaKadosh wrote in his last will and testament to his sons (printed at the beginning of his siddur) "I thought of writing this sacred work so that when it is printed it will spread throughout the Jewish world, and I would have the merit and a part in all of Jewry's prayers."

Prayer from this siddur is a special segulah (and promise) that one's prayer will be accepted and not go unfulfilled! According to what the author of Ba"ch wrote in his approbation to this siddur (printed in the first edition): "We have no doubt that this will certainly spread among the Jewish people; anyone who prays from it will have his prayers fulfilled." Rabbi Naftali Katz, author of Semichat Chachamim,  writes in his approbation: "Seder HaTefillot Temidim K'Sidram U'Mussafim K'Hilchatan for Shabbatot and months and the high holidays from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, arranged and authored by Rabbi Yeshayah Segal, author of Shnei Luchot HaBrit. He dearly desired this siddur, and decreed that his descendants bring it to print to bring merit to the many so that they would pray from it with its intentions. He guarantees that if this service is recited before shome'a tefillah with all one's strength with these intentions, his prayer will not go unanswered." This segulah is attributed to the author, none other than the Shla"h HaKadosh.

Originally 28, 568 leaves. Due to the huge number of leaves, the siddur was often split into two separate volumes.

Fine condition. Blemished title page. Most of the volume is in fine-very fine condition. Aging stains. Adhesions and small tears in the margins of several leaves. Magnificent antique leather binding, with gilt imprints. The binding is rubbed and minimally blemished.
