Tziyun LeDrush. Copy that Belonged to the Wonder-Worker of Husiatyn. Wondrous Glosses

Sefer Tziyun LeDrush, "Index to easily find all the sayings by our sages, z"l from the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi, brought in the book Ein Ya'akov in alphabetic entries" by Rabbi Shraga Feivish Segal Frankel. Krotchin, 1858.

At the top of the first leaf is the personal stamp, familiar and thrilling, of the tzaddik, the wonder-worker, the Admo'r Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Husiatyn - the elder of the Admo"rs of Ruzhin, who was deeply admired by all the Admo"rim of his generation. The text of the stamp reads "Otzar HaSefarim shel Yisrael Friedman M'Husiatyn." Along the entire length of the book, which is mainly quotations of Chazal's sayings and verses, the Rebbe marked some of the sayings and verses - hundreds of markings, likely even more than a thousand, marked in the margins of almost each and every leaf in the book, over an extended period in various types of quills, pens and pencils.

The reason behind the markings of specific sayings is not known - who can glean the sacred secrets - the hidden activities of the sacred Rebbe of Husiatyn, that even his contemporaries, giants in their own rights, considered hidden and impossible to access "Sod sheb'sod." However, it is especially exciting to point out, for example, that the rebbe places emphasis on the verses "and silver and gold"; "its treasure houses were shown to him"; and in the sayings by Chaza"l: "All the silver mentioned in the Torah"; and "What should a person do so that his children will be wealthy - do the Heavenly will and his wife's will." Aside from the content of the wondrous glosses, which require study and close examination to understand even a bit, this is a huge segulah for the fulfillment of those blessings and verses marked by the hand of a unique Chassidic tzaddik among the generations.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the Admo"r Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Husiatyn.
