Calendar for 1942-3, with several important and interesting columns at the end, including a list of yahrtzeits of hundreds of tzaddikim and geonim over the generations. Published by Avraham Natan Beratah. Shamloy, 1942-3. Rare pocket calendar. Unknown in the Bibliography.
This calendar is a small part of the kuntress, and after it, there are many important columns. The first is 'Minhagei Beit HaKnesset, ' an important work in Yiddish divided by months of the year, with customs traditional in German synagogues on Shabbats throughout the year. This is followed by the yahrtzeit section - memorial days for hundreds of luminaries throughout the generations, including leading Admo"rim. A "prayer for women and girls" appears on the last leaf - a short prayer in Yiddish for women who do not know how to pray in Hebrew. Printed at the end of the book is an unknown incantation in Yiddish against the evil eye, by the 'wonder-worker' Rabbi Abish'l of Frankfurt.
