Zera Emet - responsa by Rabbi Yishmael HaKohen, av beit din of Modena. Three parts. Livorno-Reggio, 1786-1823. First edition. Uncommon set; the third part was printed in only 240 copies.
The first two volumes were printed in Livorno in the author's lifetime; the third was printed in Reggio posthumously, with a lengthy approbation from a disciple of author's, who did not write his name, signing: 'והוא פלאי'.
Handwritten notation from the time of printing on the second title page: "Bought using my own funds here in Modena, from the author, the gaon, the rabbi ..." The third part bears owners' signatures.
