Interesting - Letter Signed by the Rabbi of the Western Wall, Rabbi Getz, Regarding a Sign about the Prohibition to Enter the Temple Mount!
Printed letter and photograph from the rabbi of the Western Wall, Rabbi Meir Yehudah Getz. 1978.
In the letter, the Kotel rabbi requests that R' Tzvi Harkavi correct the Russian translation [!] of the sign prohibiting entrance of Jews to the Temple Mount due to its sanctity. Attached (in the original) is a photocopy of said sign.
To this day, there is a lively discussion among various circles about this complex halachic issue - ascension or non-ascension to the Temple Mount.
Interesting historic item.
[1] printed leaf + [1] photograph. Various sizes.
Overall fine condition. Aging stains, creases.
