בתחילת הספר חותמת האדמו"ר: "הרב יעקב יוסף ווייס מספינקא רחוב דונולו 13 בני-ברק".
האדמו"ר הרה"ק רבי יעקב יוסף וייס - [תרע"ב - תשמ"ח], שימש כר"מ בישיבתו של סבו ה"חקל יצחק" בסעליש. היה חתנו של רבי אלתר מנחם מנדל מבורשה וכיהן גם כרב הצעיר בעיר. אשתו ושלושת ילדיו נרצחו בשואה. אחרי השואה התחתן בשנית עם בת דודו רבי אברהם אביש הורביץ מקרולי, והחל לכהן כאדמו"ר מבורשה. בהמלצת רבי חיים מאיר הגר האדמו"ר מוויז'ניץ, החל לכהן כאדמו"ר מספינקא.
