Sh'agat Aryeh, responsa by the Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Leib, Av Beit Din of Mitz, bound with the book "Zion for a Living Soul" by Rabbi Yechezkel Segal Landa, Warsaw, 1879. Two parts.
Between the pages of the book are scholarly glosses in Ashkenazi handwriting, from the period of printing. Unidentified writer.
The title page contains a ownership and signature, at the Sha'agat Aryeh Gate, signature of the holy hand of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac HaLevi Herzog, as well as a stamp of ownership to Rabbi Shmuel Kipnis.

Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac HaLevi Herzog (1888-1959) was the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of the Land of Israel in 1936, and later of the State of Israel until his death. Before that, he was Chief Rabbi of Ireland Jewry. Recipient of the Israel Prize for Torah Literature in 1958.
Rabbi Shmuel (Falk) Kipnis - (1883 - 1979) was the rabbi of the city of Ubritsh in northern Ukraine, and after his immigration to Israel he served as rabbi of the Bateh Hornstein neighborhood in Jerusalem, director of the Association of Rabbis of Russia and other countries, The Institute of the Poskim in Jerusalem.
