Yaakov Rimon - A Beautiful Letter about Literature and Writing - 1923
From the letter:
"I never intended to use literature as a shovel to dig in... I only desire to bring forth my soul's thoughts and nothing more... I do not aspire to profit from literature... If I am allowed to go out into the field of literature, and if the sun shines on me... Even if they offer me literary money, believe me, I will not accept it.. I desire to do this sacred work that has been dear to me since my childhood - for its own sake."
The letter is addressed to David Shimoni, dated 1923.
Fair condition: many tears in the margins (the text is not damaged).
Yaakov Rimon (1903-1973) was a Hebrew poet and writer.
