Welcome to our new auction: a beautiful and rare collection of original art from around the world. Includes German Expressionism, engravings by Goya, Kathe Kollwitz, Andreas Paul Weber, Max Lieberman, Ludwig Schwerin, Marc Chagall, Alfred Kubin and dozens of other artists.
The collection belonged to Felix Yehiel-Michael Meinz (1899-1978) who was an art lover and devoted collector, mainly of engravings and lithographs. Meinz belonged to the group of Agudath Israel workers, served as a soldier in the First World War, and later was a partner in the establishment of Bank Alran, which was later assimilated into the Union Bank.
The auction will take place on Tuesday, March 28 at 18:00 p.m Israel time.
Physical examination of the items will be done by prior arrangement only.

Ludwig Schwerin (1897-1983) was an Israeli painter born in Germany. He fled to Switzerland following Kristallnacht and immigrated to Israel in 1939, where he settled in Tel Aviv. His paintings were influenced by German expressionism, but included Jewish and biblical themes. After arriving in Israel, he mainly painted the local landscape.
