Beis Meir, First Edition. Exemplar of the Holy Rebbes of Ostrowiec and Skierniewice
Sefer Beis Meir on Yoreh De’ah. First edition, Warsaw, 1870. Exemplar signed with the stamp of the holy Tzaddik, the Rebbe Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrowiec, and the son-in-law of his son-in-law, the holy Rabbi Yosef Tzvi of Skierniewice—Bnei Berak.

The Sefer is full of scores of stamps from the Beis Medrash of the holy Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrowiec. There are also several stamps of his grandson – the son-in-law of the Divrei Binah of Biale, his son-in-law and successor – the holy Rabbi Yosef Tzvi of Skierniewice, who was the first Rabbi of Bnei Berak in its first years of existence.

The holy Rebbe, Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrowiec, son of the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Shlomo Leib of Łęczna (passed away in 1873), from the greatest Tzaddikim of Poland, continued the path of his holy father and of his Rebbes, the holy Chozeh of Lublin and the Yehudi Hakadosh of Parshischa. Rabbi of Sosnowiec, and later held court in Ostrowiec, where thousands thronged to him. His son-in-law and successor was the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Biale, the “Divrei Binah”.
