Sefer Refu’at Hanefesh, edited and proofread by Rabbi Shmuel Zanvil Hannover for the “Visitors of the Ill and Cahrity Doers” society in Altona. Altona, 1709. Rare.
Refu’at Hanefesh, prayers for the ill, customs of purifying the body of the deceased and the laws of Aninut (mourning before the burial). Printing house of the brothers Shmuel and Yehuda Bon, Altona, 1709. Rare.
Printed based on the 1740 and 1765 Altona editions, with proofreading corrections, editing, omission of some prayers and addition of some laws. With “Laws of Purification in (Judeo-) German” printed in TZO font. Missing two last pages with a prayer which was said by the burial society of Wandsbek after ending Shmone esreh. With owners’ signatures: “Nathan son of R’ Meir OBM”, “Reuven, son of Gershon”, and “Meir”.
