Exemplar of Rabbi Yosef Guggenheim of Metz – Kol Bo, Fürth, 1782
Sefer Kol Bo, In it is all. Sefer of customs and laws for the entire year. Fürth, 1782. Exemplar of Rabbi Yosef Gugenheim.

Kol Bo, an important Sefer of Halachic ruling written during the era of the Rishonim. Itzek son of David Zürendorf Press, Fürth, 1782.

The Sefer Kol Bo (Kolbo), is a fundamental Sefer of ruling written by an ancient Gaon in the era of the Rishonim. The Sefer is mentioned numerous times by the ‘Beit Yosef’, in the Shulchan Aruch, and by the Rema. There are several theories as to the identity of its author, however the Chida, in his ‘Shem Hagedolim’ under ‘Kol Bo’ rejects all of them and states that the author is unknown. The Sefer contains collected wisdom from many Geonim and Rishonim, and many times these serve as the only source for their words, as their own manuscripts have been lost to time.

Including signature ”the young, Yosef Gugenheim”.

Rabbi Yosef son of Rabbi Leib Gugenheim (1741-1813) – Chief Rabbi of Metz.
