Keset Hasofer, Mahadura Tanina, section I, the Dinim of writing a Sefer Torah, Tefillin and Mezuzot with Lishkat Hasofer and section II, by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, author of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. Karl Yegers Press, Ungvar [1871]. First edition.Copy of Rabbi Chaim ben Rabbi Menashe Sethon. 


[4], 66; [1], 68-136 leaves. 23 cm. Ab additional title page for section II. On the title page of section I, the signatures and stamp of Rabbi Chaim Sethon of SAfed. With [7] glosses handwritten on the margins of the pages. With an approbation by the Chasam Sofer, which was copied from the first edition, ordering all his disciples not to certify any scribe who was not well-versed in this book Keset Sofer. And with approbations by Rabbi Yosef Shaul Halevi Natanson Av Beis Din of Lviv, Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and Rabbi Chaim Zvi Hirsch Manheimer. 


The Gaon Dayan Rabbi Chaim Sethon (1871-1918) the son of Rabbi Menashe Sethon Tosh Av Beis Din of Safed. Rabbi Chaim Sethon was born in Safed yet In his youth, moved with his family to Aram Tzova, where his father passed away. He returned to Safed with his mother and in 1902 became the Rav of Safed, a position he eventually left to study Torah. Authored the book Eretz Hachaim on the customs of Eretz Yisroel.
