Sefer Tachkemoni by Rabbi Yehuda Al Harizi, one of the greatest poets of Spain - Kushta, 1572 - first edition - ancient signatures and notations - incomplete copy
Ancient signature on leaf 5a: "... הקטן חיים בלא"א הרב דוד פיס... מתושבי בק"ק... דרעזניץ".
On that leaf, an ancient notation describing in short the content and purpose of Sefer Tachkemoni: "... וקרא אותו תחכמוני, והענין הוא ששני בני אדם אחד חבר הקיני והשני הימן האזרחי מדברים יחד בלשון צח על כל עניני חשק העולם וסיפורי מעשיות יפות, ועל כל סיפור מעשה יסד שיר יפה, ובו חמשים שעריו, דפו' קושטנטינה, שנת שלחה".
4-76, [1] leaves. 3 leaves are missing at the beginning of the book as well as the last leaf (a total of 4 missing leaves). 19 cm. Most of the leaves are in good condition. Dampness stains. The front board and some leaves are detached.
