Ownership notations and stamp of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Shmuel Halberstam of Bardejov and signatures and stamps of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Chaim Dov Halberstam.
This edition was approbated by leading Tzaddikim of Hungary and Galicia, headed by the family of Maran the Divrei Chaim, his son the holy Rav of Shinova, the Kedushas Yom Tov, the Tzaddikim of Ruzhin and more.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Shmuel Halberstam of Bardejov (1866-1944) the grandson of the Holy Rav Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz the son of the Holy Rav the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. At a young age, he married Mrs. Fesil the daughter of Rabbi Meir Kifshitz of Janov. In 1902, he published the second edition of the Divrei Chaim Shut of his great grandfather. Rabbi Shmuel was a Gabai of charity for Eretz Yisroel in Bardejov. He perished in the terrible Holocaust, yet his descendants survived and held important rabbinic positions.
His son the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Chaim Berish Halberstam (1891-1971) was named after his father's great grandfather. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef, the son of Rabbi Zvi Elimelech Shapiro of Bertsh. Before the Holocaust, which he survived, he lived in Dinov.
No pagination. Complete. With the Halachot, forewords, list of subscribers and the Yehi Ratzon prayers. Slightly dismantled spine. Dry leaves. Aging stains and stains of usage. Some signs of dampness. Good condition.
