Piskei Halacha and Leadership Handwritten by the Tzaddik Gaon of Komemiyus
Small collection of Piskei Halacha, arbitrations and matters pertaining to the leadership of the Moshav handwritten by the famed Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Binyomin Mendelsohn the renowned Rav of Moshav Komemiyus
The documents include:
* Some of the last signatures of the Rav of Komemiyus in his last year. Hanukkah 1978. Typewritten letter with an addition of a blessing a signature handwritten by the Rav.
A loan given by the Rav of Komemiyus to the principal of the Talmud Torah of Komemiyus Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Kott, an important Belz Chassid, to reimburse the Melamed Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Yechizkiyah Oish, who became sick and was forced to retire.
The document indicates Rabbi Mendelsohn's personal involvement in all the problems of the Moshav and his personal responsibility for them.
* Interesting postcard from 1961, by a student of the Hebrew University asking to spend the Sabbath with the Rav in Komemiyus.
The Rav replied that this Sabbath, Parashas Behar, he was intending to stay in Jerusalem.
On Parashas behar, several years after this postcard was written, Rabbi Mendelsohn passed away.
* Letter with a Psak Halacha between a couple and an employer. From 1958. Handwritten by the Rav on his official stationery.
* Lengthy agreement handwritten and signed by the Rav, concerning the management of the living arrangements of a childless old man. Shevas 1976.
[4] paper items. Size and condition vary. Aging stains, filing perforations. Good-very good general condition.
