Letter Handwritten by Maran of Satmar
Lengthy letter from winter 1947, handwritten entirely by Maran the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel of Satmar in response to matters of commerce and in it, lines from the Rav of Satmar's plan to return to the Holy Land 'if Hashem Yisborach pities us and the situation in Eretz Yisroel is without fear and they shall not hurt not destroy'.
The rabbi writes to his confidante the rabbinic Chassid Rabbi Zvi Pinchas Moskowich with advice and blessing for his business trips and expands on the details of the trip and the entrance to Romania in 1947. Maran of Satmar notes that in these chaotic days, we need 'Si'ata DeShmaya for every step'. He warmly blesses him that 'May Hashem Yisborach make his trip successful and his will merit returning to Eretz Yisroel with complete salvation'.
Later, he reveals his thoughts recalling that 'I hope to go from here by ship leaving on Shushan Purim directly to Eretz Yisroel, but if Hashem Yisborach pities us and the situation in Eretz Yisroel is without fear and they shall not hurt nor destroy and it will be possible to deal with Torah and Avodah without bother until we merit seeing the salvation of all Yisroel and their joy'.
