At the beginning of the introduction, he detailed his dedication explicitly: "רבים משתוקקים וצמאים ליהנות מפניני לקוטים דבורי תורה אשר השפיע ה' בפי לעורר לבבות בני ישראל לעבודתו ית"ש מקרב איש ולב עמוק...."
And the holy author Rabbi David of Tolna continues and expands his dedication with holy and uplifting words.
This copy here has three title pages! Two title pages also in other editions, additional cover page very rare and not to be found! With ownership listing.
The Holy Rabbi David of Tolna, 1802-1882, sixth son of the Holy Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl, and disciple of the Holy Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta, served as Admor in Wasilków and later after persecution of the authorities he moved his courtyard to Tolna. Among his disciples was the son of his nephew the Holy Rabbi Mordechai Dov of Hornosteipel (son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and author of 'Emek She'ale'). In the year 1882 Rabbi David called all his Chassidim to his courtyard for Shabbat Parshat Achrei Mos, and on that Shabbat he returned his lofty and pure soul.
It is legendarily said among the sages about him: 'ויברך דוד את השם- לעיני כל הקהל ויאמר דוד'.
Rabbi David of Tolna was constantly blessing the name of G-d in his heart, although in the eyes of the observer from the outside it seemed like he was talking simple matters…. And all that he said was fulfilled.
[3], 72 pages. 21 cm. Several pages professionally rehabilitated. Light moth holes, stained. Good – very good condition.
