הגיליון עוסק רובו ככולו במלחמה הממשמשת ובאה, ובשפעתה הצפויה על יהדות אירופה.
הגיליון הוקדש למותו של חבר המערכת, המאייר והמעצב אלי סמאלהאוט (Elie Smalhout, 1889-1939), ונלווית לו רפרודוקציה של ציור מאת סמאלהאוט בשם "עם ישראל חי", בו נראה בנימין זאב הרצל.
