Seder Tefillot Mikol Hashana. With Leshon Ashkenaz (Yiddish), the custom of the Ashkenazim, with Psalms and a book of Techinot [in Yiddish].
Siddur for women, Western-Ashkenaz custom. The Yiddish translation is in Tzor letters. Title page with copper-engraved illustrations. Separate title page for the book of Techinot.
Original red leather binding, with gilding and the owner's name. In addition, original gilt edges of the leaves.
This important Siddur was meant for women, containing the prayers for all days of the year. Title page with copper-engraved illustrations depicting biblical scenes related to women: "ויזכר אלהי' את רחל", (And G-d remembered Rachel) "ותשר דבורה" (and Devorah sang), "ותתפלל חנה" (and Chana prayed) and more.
On the lower part of the title page, an illustration depicting Jewish women in Egypt, with the caption: "בשכר נשים צדקניות נגאלו אבותינו ממצרים" (By the merit of the righteous women our ancestors were redeemed from Egypt). On the upper part of the title page, an illustration of Adam and Chava in the garden of Eden and the sin, with the caption: "ותקח מפריו ותאכל..." (she took from its fruit and ate).
Written on the front board, the name of the woman, Yetka, the wife of Uri Behts.
