Tikunei Hazohar by the Tana Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Slavita, 1821

Wonderful copy with wide margins, of the first edition printed by this sacred printery. Approbations by the Baal Shem Tov's grandson Rabbi Ephraim of Sudilkov the author of Degel Machaneh Ephraim and the Geonim Rabbi Yosef of Zuslev and Rabbi Aryeh Leib of Berditchev.

Seventy Tikkunim on the first word of the Torah, Bereshit, by the Tana Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Printed on the margins of the sheet, are the Derech Emet glosses by the Remez (see lot 56) and references.

Impressive copy that has not been auctioned, with wide margins and a combined ancient and modern leather binding.

The Slavita Printery was considered sacred and exalted by Chassidim, Anshei Ma'alah, and Tzaddikim for generations. The beauty, the virtue of the books printed there, and the print quality, combined with the sanctity of the owners of the printery, headed by its founder, Rabbi Moshe Shapira and his sons after him, everything being done with immense Yirah, made the books printed there priceless and highly sought after, and many Segulot have been attributed to them.

Slavita, 1821. The Press of Rabbi Moshe Shapira.

154 leaves.
