A Monumental Pair of Silver Shabbat Candlesticks. Poland. Second half of the 19th Century.

An antique pair of silver candlesticks, handmade with high-quality silversmithing. The base of the candlesticks is square and is topped by an undulating stem decorated in its entirety with beautiful engraving, repousse and hammer work.


The base of the candlesticks are marked with silver stamps from the Wernerasa workshop, which was founded in Poland in 1876 by Theodore Werner and was operated by him until 1896. The company was then taken over by Karol Melch.
