Shu”t HaRashba (Attributed to the Ramban). Venice, 1519. Daniel Bomberg Press.
First Edition Of Shut HaRashba. Rare.

Questions and answers by Rabbi Moshe son of Nachman.

Compilations of Questions and Answers by Rabbi Shlomo son of Aderet (Rashba) and erroneously attributed to the Ramban. The proofreader writes in the introduction: “So that the truth not be absent…I will inform…these answers that were attributed…to Rabbeinu Moshe son of Nachman zt”l. However, among them the Rashba wrote a number, assisted in many places by his students…”

Attributing the book to the Ramban occurred due to Chapter 284, since it explicitly states that this response is that of the Ramban LeRabbeinu Yonah. In fact, only this response is authored by the Ramban, while the rest of the book is by the Rashba (see Rabbi Yosef Caro’s words in his introduction to his book ‘Beit Yosef’: “Some of the Rashba’s responses have come to me….and they commence with the words that they are they responses of the Ramban.”).

Venice, 1519. First edition. Daniel Bomberg Press.
[94] leaves. 27 cm. Very good condition. Quality, thick paper. Wide margins.
Haberman, The Printer Daniel Bomergi, No. 10.

First edition, rare and complete copy of the famed responses of the Rashba, erroneously attributed to the Ramban.
