Rabbi Yaakov Tzemach was born in Portugal into a Marrano family. He left Salonika at the age of thirty and emigrated to the Tzfat in the Holy Land. It was only then that his righteousness and greatness in Kabbala was revealed to the world. In Tzfat, Rabbi Tzemach studies Kabbala under Rabbi Shmuel Vital. One day, Rabbi Chaim Vital appeared to Rabbi Tzemach and Rabbi Avraham Azulai in a dream, and granted them permission to remove his transcripts from his grave. Rabbi Tzemach thereafter edited Rabbi Chaim Torah manuscripts. This page in front of us includes Kabbalistic explanations on Korbanot.
