Isupov Aleksey Vladimirovich (1889, Vyatka -1957, Rome).
Studied at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1908-1913) under A.E. Arhipov, A.M. Vasnetsov, KA Korovin, V.A. Serov. Lived in Moscow (until 1915 and during the period of 1915-1922), in Central Asia (1915-1921), did his military service in Turkestan (1915-1917), Since 1916 - a member of Travelling Arts Exhibition Comradeship. Since 1926 lived in Paris. Russian talented artist, portrait and graphic painter, a bright representative of the so called "Salon art". The artist's pictures exposed at many exhibitions: in New York (1924), Rome (1928, 1933, 1945), Trieste (1935), Turin (1937), Kirov (1971), Moscow (1973), Tashkent (1977). The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Gallery of Uffitzi, in museums of Rome and Milan, in Florence, in museums of Russia, Uzbekistan. His works were sold at Sotheby's auctions several times.
