Four rare photographs from the day the liberated of Auschwitz camp by the Soviets

Four rare photographs of inmates on the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp - taken by official photographers of the Soviet army. January 1945.

Photographs: Inmates liberated near the barbed wire fence of the camp, and inmates beside their liberators from the Soviet army.

The most massive visual documentation of the liberated camps was made in the Auschwitz camp, which was liberated on January 27, 1945. Photographers who arrived about a week after the liberation itself document every scene that revealed the horrors of the camp. The Soviets disseminated the results of their work not only to the internal media but also to the international media, with the aim of strengthening the regime's legitimacy, as their relations with the West began to deteriorate.

Two photographs measuring 22x17 cm. Two photographs: 18x13 cm. The photographs are all depicted on the back of pages pasted on their backs. very good condition.
